Presenting the story of radar
In a secluded corner of Suffolk is the tiny outpost of Bawdsey, home of the Air Ministry’s top-secret radar research establishment in the late 1930s. Following a £1.8 million refurbishment, the new transmitter block now houses an exciting, interactive visitor experience, officially opened by the Duke of Gloucester recently.
Our own Suffolk heritage and our experience of working with local not-for-profit organisations made us the ideal choice to create the new look for the Bawdsey Radar experience. We were briefed to design a new logo and brand style guidelines, capturing the historic significance of the site, while giving it a fresh, eye-catching identity for the 21st century.
We collaborated closely with the exhibition designer to ensure the branding was carried through into the displays and signage. We’ve also produced the website and a suite of marketing collateral, including leaflets and merchandising.
