Powering up the eSmart brand
The team at Propeller have been busy designing a whole bundle of items to support the launch of Braintree-based eSmart Networks. Offering turnkey solutions for electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and grid scale battery storage, eSmart designs, builds, installs and commissions charging points across the UK.
Working with an already established branding, we’ve designed everything from launch leaflets and exhibition displays to stationery and vehicle graphics.
Transport Secretary Chris Grayling recently announced plans for thousands more EV charging points to increase the take up of ultra-low emission vehicles. The ‘Road to Zero’ strategy includes more money for charging infrastructure and a feasibility study to see if new residential and office developments should be required to install charging points.
eSmart is a subsidiary of Nexus Infrastructure plc, which has been providing essential infrastructure for over 40 years.
Branding the guest experience
Propeller has completed a major internal communications revamp for Thistle Hotels, focusing on everything from door hangers to safety signage. The project followed on from a recent major rebrand of the hotel chain, supporting its drive to create the warmest of welcomes and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Working within the strict brand guidelines and project timescales, our team efficiently met each of the briefs in this extensive redesign project, delivering on time and on budget. The signs, menus, information booklets and other items are being used in all the brand’s nine hotels (eight in London and one in Poole).
Thistle is owned by leading hotel operator GLH, which also has the Amba and Guoman brands in its portfolio, and is launching the Hard Rock Hotel in London in 2019.
Best in show
The Propeller team’s skills have been on show recently at one of the UK’s top exhibitions for event organisers. Working with our good friend Jo Burke of JCBCreatives, we created a custom-built 3D stand at Venues + Events Live 2018 for one of our key clients, glh Hotels.
A world-leading hotel group, glh has a family of brands which includes Thistle, Amba and Guoman. Covering 16 square metres with three open sides, the stand featured eye-catching graphics to promote the Group’s Meetings and Events offering in London, which includes a wide range of conveniently located event spaces and high-quality overnight accommodation. Our brief was to handle everything from concepts and design to installation and removal.
Held in the stunning surroundings of Old Billingsgate, Venues + Events Live 2018 featured over 250 exhibitors and was attended by decision makers from across the business community, including company event organisers, PAs and booking agents.
We’re delighted to announce that Angela Prichard has been promoted to Design Director. As well as continuing to be one of our key creative team members, she will now take charge of workflow and studio profitability. She will also have a more strategic overview of our creative output, working closely with our Creative Director, Simon Milldown.
“Angela is a highly valued member of our creative team, ” said Simon. ” With a proactive, ‘can do’ approach and strongly developed managerial skills, she has always shown willingness to go above and beyond her remit to deliver outstanding service to our clients. We decided the time was right to recognise and reward that diligence and commitment.”
The spiritual home of London’s in-crowd, Soho is associated with all kinds of creative giants, from Dylan Thomas to David Bowie. Now we’ve immortalised this iconic district as part of an exciting new project for Soho-based Launch PR.
Working with leading illustrator Kerry Hyndman, we’ve designed a map for Launch PR’s Creative Crawl, a 45-minute tour of key locations in the Soho story. Fashion, sex, technology, art, politics and media are all on the itinerary, with links to many famous names, including anarchic clothes designer Vivienne Westwood and revolutionary philosopher Karl Marx.
Creative Crawl has been developed in association with the Blue Badge Guide and former City of London Corporation communications chief, Greg Williams. The tour is free for Launch PR clients or £450 for a group of four, including drinks.
