Charing Cross gets a taste of Wonderland

Afternoon tea took on a literary theme at the Amba Hotel Charing Cross. Down the road at Waterloo, theatre company Les Enfants Terribles was performing Alice’s Adventures Underground, an exciting new take on the much-loved children’s classic. To celebrate this and the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll’s whimsical masterpiece, the hotel decided to join in the fun and partner with the show.

The kitchen team came up with their own version of the ‘mad tea party’, featuring a feast of goodies inspired by the eccentric scenes and characters in the book.

To promote this magical ‘Wonderland Tea’, we were asked to come up with some appropriately imaginative creative ideas for the hotel’s website and digital in-house screens, plus leaflets to sell the experience to theatre-goers. We also designed some quirky collateral for the restaurant, including a miniature menu supplied with a magnifying glass.
